4Drive UAE is a booking platform connecting travellers with established local rental companies throughout the United Arab Emirates. We do not own vehicles. Instead, we work directly with providers in each emirate to offer a single search interface for availability and transparent pricing. Every booking leads to a rental agreement signed with the local company at handover, and they manage the vehicle, insurance, and support during your trip.
Our role is to simplify the search process and confirm your reservation. The actual contract, vehicle condition check, and key handover happen with the provider listed in your voucher. This structure allows you to compare options from multiple companies without visiting individual counters or negotiating terms on arrival.
Start by entering your pick-up location, dates, and times on the search page. Results show available vehicles with their specifications, included mileage, and the payment requirements for each option. Some listings accept debit cards for the final payment and security hold, while others require a credit card - these details appear clearly during selection.
Once you choose a vehicle, you pay a booking advance online by card to secure the reservation. This advance is part of the total rental cost, not an extra fee. The remainder is settled when you collect the keys, using the payment method specified for that vehicle. Cash may be accepted for the balance depending on the provider, but online payment is card-only.
After payment, you receive a voucher by email with the provider's name, address, contact details, and your reservation reference. Take this voucher to the collection point at the scheduled time. The local company will verify your documents, complete the rental agreement, note any existing damage on the vehicle, and hand over the keys. Optional extras such as a second driver, child seat, Salik toll tag registration, or cross-border permit for Oman are arranged and paid for at this stage if you requested them during booking.
We cover all seven emirates and key coastal towns. Dubai remains the busiest hub, with collection points at DXB Dubai International Airport, city districts, and hotel delivery. Sharjah and Abu Dhabi follow, each with airport and urban pick-up locations. Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah, Al Ain, Fujairah, and Umm al-Quwain offer smaller networks but sufficient for regional trips.
Coastal towns including Dibba and Khor Fakkan connect through providers in the nearest emirate. If you plan to cross into Oman, arrange the cross-border permit during booking - not all companies allow it, and written permission must be in place before departure.
Selected vehicles on our platform carry a no-deposit label. This means the rental company does not place a hold on your card at collection. The excess - the amount you remain liable for if the vehicle is damaged - still applies and is stated in the rental agreement. No deposit and the excess amount are independent parameters.
No-deposit options suit travellers without a high card limit or those who prefer not to have funds frozen during the trip. The vehicle inspection at handover remains standard practice: existing scratches and dents are recorded in the agreement, and any new damage at return is assessed against the excess.
